User Guide
Accessing the Service
- Open your preferred web browser and go to the podocracy.tech.
- Click on the "Sign Up" button to create an account.
- Provide your email and password.
Logging In
- After signing up, log in using your email and password.
- Upon logging in, you will be directed to your projects page where you can see your files listed.
Initiating the Translation
- On the projects page, each file has row with related files.
- Choose "Upload" or "BEMA" to request the job.
- BEMA episodes are labeled with an "e" followed by the file/episode number.
- Choose the language you want to translate the file/episode into (e.g., German).
- Provide additional instructions in any language, e.g. if you noticed that autamtic translation is always translating some words in wrong form.
- Click on "Request" to start the translation process. The new file/episode will appear on the projects page, and additional files will be added as the translation progresses.
- The final output will be an MP3 file with a voice-over in the chosen language.
Improving Translations Manually
- If you want to improve the translation manually, download the JSON file from the Improved column and open it for editing.
- In the imp - "Improved" section, you can edit any parts that don't sound right or make sense. You can delete unnecessary sections and adjust the translated text.
- The original text will be in English, and the improved translated text will be in the language you selected.
Uploading Improved Translations
- After making edits, save the file.
- Upload the improved file back to the service by selecting "Upload" on the website.
Requesting Voice Over with Improved Translation
- Once the improved file is uploaded, request the voice-over part of the process.
- Select the file/episode number and choose the "Voice Over" stage.
- The system will generate a new voice-over using the improved translation file you uploaded.
